A-Gas to roll out new refrigerant destruction tech in Australia and New Zealand

Refrigerant supply and lifecycle management company A-Gas will introduce an enhanced version of its PyroPlas refrigerant destruction technology to Australia and Zealand.

Having acquired PyroPlas just over a year ago, A-Gas has developed the equipment to be able to deal effectively with halons, hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and mixtures of all previous generations of used refrigerant.

The UN-approved, TEAP certified technology has been used for more than ten years by A-Gas to destroy ‘thousands of tonnes’ of ozone-depleting substances at its Bowling Green facility in the US.

Commenting on the announcement, Louise McCann, Group Commercial Driector at A-Gas, said, “With the further development of PyroPlas units we are proud to offer the most complete refrigerant management capability in the world.”

“We are committed to bringing this technology to the Asia-Pacific region to provide end of life destruction services to our customers.”
