INOXAP commissions fifth air separation facility in Hosur

INOX Air Products (INOXAP) has commissioned its fifth air separation facility in Hosur, India, to meet rising healthcare and industrial demand.

The Rs300 Crore plant at SIPCOT Phase II, which was commissioned in just 20 months, will produce high purity cryogenic medical oxygen – with capacity of up to 150MT per day, twice the existing amount – and industrial gases including liquid nitrogen and liquid argon.

Siddharth Jain, Director, INOXAP, said, “Our latest addition enhances our ability to ensure a continuous supply of medical oxygen, support the state’s healthcare infrastructure, create employment opportunities and contribute to the state’s overall economic growth.”

The new plant complements INOXAP’s four other gas plants in Tamil Nadu state, at Manali, Salem, Sriperumbudur and Tirunelveli.

INOXAP is India’s largest manufacturer of industrial and medical gases, with a liquid medical oxygen production capacity of 3,400 tonnes per day (TPD) across 47 operating locations.
