Air Products is planning to expand its Tangjeong plant in Chungcheongnam-do Province, South Korea.
An MoU was signed on 27th July between the province and Air Products Korea, which includes plans for Air Products Korea, YK and Bimbo QSR to invest $113.6m in Tangjeong Display City in Asan, Inju Foreign Investment Zone and Youngin Agricultural Industrial Complex over the next five years to newly build and expand plants.
According to this agreement, Air Products Korea will invest $100m in Tangjeong to additionally expand industrial gas production plants, which are essential for the production of semiconductor and display. The corporation, which operates three sites within Chungcheongnam-do Province in Cheonan, Asan and Baebang, signed a $30m investment agreement in Cheonan in April last year.
